Bases of leadership

 

1st Base- Having solid morals and values that you hold true to all while having complete confidence and self empowerment because leadership starts within.

 

2nd Base- Being passionate about task or project that you take up and put full effort in it, accepting nothing less than success.

 

3rd Base- Inspiring those around you to be the best that they can be and making sure that they feel your support.

Home Run- Applying all bases to your life so that you positively affect the world and are looked up to by everyone who meets you.

 

 

Explanation

 

I chose to use softball as my metaphor because it is something that I am very passionate about.  I have been playing since the age of 5 and while I no longer play it still holds a special place in my heart.  The friends I have made through this sport have been close to me for 13 years and some for 18.  They tell me I inspire them on the field and that does nothing but ignite my passion even more.  I will hopefully be a coach one day and instill that same passion in a young girl.
