The Passion Within

My passion is not one of the average person.

It took quite a bit of time to truly understand it and articulate it.

I have now come to the conclusion that my passion is simply solving problems.

 

 

I love to learn the different situations in other's lives, and offer a solution to the problems.



 

I love when a mathematical problem or scientific problem approaches.

This is why I would like to work with medical innovation as my career.

Being able to solve problems is so exhilarating and I feel like a have a purpose on this planet.

 









    
      When I think of Martin Luther King Jr.'s I have a dream speech, a lot comes to mind.  He made such a heavy impact on this country that I sometimes wonder what it would be like if he had not stepped up and done what he did.  Would someone else fill his shoes and make that commitment?  I highly doubt it.  We as emerging leaders would not be sitting next to each other, with different races and ethnicity.  MLK went up against a country and he says so in his geographical descriptions, not just the south, though this was his biggest challenge.     For me, being biracial, I definitely do not think I would exist today without his impact.  My mom is white and my dad is black so their relationship would probably still have been outlawed.  My dad probably would be dead or in jail. So really the fate of my parents and my entire family rests solely in the hands of Martin Luther King Jr. and his leadership ability.

"Like Clockwork" Reflection

  Initially, I was more that excited to be apart of the Emerging Leaders program.  I then started to realize that this was not at all what I thought it would be in the social aspect.  Everyone was nice at first and got along great but I then observed a change.  As much as we'd hate to admit it, we all formed different clicks, that formed so quickly that I felt somewhat left behind.  Seeing as we all live on the same floor that soon changed. I then got to know everyone else a little better, some of which I got to know a lot better and even brought them home to meet my family.  The day that we had the "Like Clockwork Activity" was a big relief in that there was no worry of failing Saani, Alex, or Shobo.  We really got to see a different side of each other and got to show everyone a different side to us.  Not a lot of people really know what I go through at home or how my family lives and to finally share some of those facts felt really good so thank you for giving me the opportunity to do that!!!
